During the 2020 COVID 19 pandemic I was involved in a series of conversations about shopping, hoarding, online church, meaning and purpose. Some of these came about with my children.
When toilet paper became difficult to buy it crystalised a great deal of what is broken about our culture. People took far more than was needed, leaving many with nothing. It was during this time that I realised my 4 year old was using up to 15 squares of toilet paper per wipe. This led to a conversation about frugality, conserving the environment, sharing what we have, and only taking what we actually need. Deeper conversations about dealing with fear and the hoarding response took place over dinner and during story time.
3 Squares is about living with enough and ensuring there is enough for all.

Hi Pete
This has just officially joined my regular websites to check before I start any work. Best of luck maintaining it!
Cya round,
Steerie
Thanks for the encouragement. I will try to put some more volleyball stuff on it at some point. I trained with the Yarra Ranges div 1 & 2 guys last night. I may play state league next season. Just need approval from my wife first! Are you still playing?
I heard that you were playing. It’s about time, you’ve been on the scene for a while!
Didn’t play State league this year, played locally in Croydon with some friends. Got me quite frustrated, so I’ve started to work on my fitness so I can get back into the more challenging version of the game. Hopefully can maintain that over the holidays.
It’s been great to read about all the work you’ve been doing at McKinnon, such a shame to hear its coming to an end. It sounds like you’ll have hundreds (how ever many kids were in the volleyball program) of friends (and referees) to take from it though.
Keep up the great work!
Steerie
Hi Pete it’s Natalie from McKinnon I dot know if you remember me but we miss you heaps at McKinnon and I never really got to say how thankful I was to have you as a coach in volleyball anf you have made a difference to my life thankyou for everything and all the effort you put it
Goodluck with your new adventures
Thanks
Nat
No worries Nat. I loved every minute of it. I’ll have to introduce you to my son when I drop in again. I really hope you all understand that the Volleyball program was about seeing young people grow and take risks and make friends and become better people because of it. I’m really happy it meant that much to you.
Thanks for your support. See you at beach trials?
Probably won’t be at beach trials
Congrats with the birth of your soon also
Nice to talk to you again
Nat
